"Sauce Runs in Our Veins!"

My whole family is in the restaurant business, so naturally I wanted to jump on board! My Uncle Tommy is the Domino's Pizza franchisee here in the desert and my Mom is his V.P. My Dad is the original Domino's entrepreneur of California and other Paul and Nowlan family members have worked in the restaurant business over the years.

I, myself had previously been a teacher in Los Angeles right before starting up the Naked Noodle. After turning 30, I reconsidered my career options and thought perhaps I'd go in the same general direction as the family. Plus, I've always thought it'd be great to be a business owner, and it is! Full of challenges, but it's creative, and you've got to have a good group of employees, and you've got to really believe in what you're offering. That's our winning concept.

The concept of the Naked Noodle is basically a finale to a lot of research and experience and good taste! After working with about three chefs, the recipes have come to be as they are now. We are still a growing business, only operating since we finished building in December of '04.

It really is all about the family in terms of location and even staff. Mom helped facilitate the whole vision and we occupy the previous Indio Domino's location thanks to Uncle Tommy. Dad is in charge of marketing and press. My cousin is one of my waitresses and Mom's boyfriend added significantly to décor and ambience…as well as coming up with the awesome name. Grandma even hostesses--and the list goes on!

As they say, it's a lot of hard work to open a restaurant, but a ton of fun and we hope you can come in and enjoy the Naked Noodle experience!
